  • watched a dog stand guard while his friend stole scraps from the hotel garbage bin 

  • ditto, the other dog

  • checked the Weather Network

  • drove to the Co-op for Tenderflake

  • bought an entire bag of MacIntosh apples just to eat one

  • checked the Weather Network

  • took crazy selfies up at the Inukshuk

  • took more selfies by the gargantuan waves

  • froze my fingers taking selfies

  • spotted a distant pickup truck waiting for belugas

  • commented on the arbitrariness of a 50-cent pair of children’s sandals and a $20 pack of cigarettes at the local Co-op 

  • checked my emails

  • checked my Facebook

  • checked the Weather Network

  • watched Suzanne make spiral bannock

  • checked the Weather Network

  • checked the Weather Network

  • checked the Weather Network

  • ate bannock straight out of the frying oil

  • ate bannock straight out of the frying oil, lamenting how it is like eating a Fairmount bagel fresh out of the oven (how it expands in stomach like a ton of bricks), but savouring every morsel nonetheless
